Resilience provides hope in dark situations. Human resilience does not only mean that people have the ability to bounce back from difficult situations, but also that people bounce back even stronger. Thus, resilience is based on the foundational belief that difficult situations, no matter how bleak, contain the opportunity to learn and grow from the experience. Of course, resilience seems far away in the thick of the storm, but reflection after the storm can produce meaningful personal insight and discovery.
