Paige Bintz, LCSW

Practice Location: Milwaukee

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker where I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Marquette University and my Masters in Social Work at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am a passionate advocate for social justice and through direct practice, I hope to do my part in bringing positive change to our community.

My approach is based in trauma informed, systemic, and holistic theories, meaning I look beyond the diagnosis and at all the factors and dynamics that can affect a person. My strengths are my empathy, creativity, and encouragement for both the client and I to bring our authentic selves to session. This way the client can have a safe and empowering space to share their story, discover strengths, and explore new ideas.

I love to remind my clients about the healing paradox. What we avoid grows in power over us where what we face loses its power over us. It may be difficult to do, but getting the control back over our lives is worth it. There is no better time than the present to not only grow, but bloom.

Anna Boteva, LPC, CSAC

Practice Location: Oak Creek

Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor with a Master of Science in Community Psychology from Alverno College. In addition, she holds her certificate for trauma-informed care and provides individual and family counseling for mental health and substance use disorders.

Anna is an experienced clinician who is dedicated to helping adults and adolescents build healthier, more enjoyable relationships with self through therapeutic treatment. Anna approaches treatment in an adaptive way, incorporating elements from multiple evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, MI, Trauma informed care) the patient and Anna work together to create a treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique needs, strengths and circumstances. Creating positive change, uncovering hidden strengths and discovering untapped potential are the primary reasons why Anna finds counseling so rewarding. She strives to be a partner throughout the therapeutic process, providing safe space for the patients to be their authentic self. Anna focuses on the individual, not the disorder to treat each patient with compassion and understanding. Everyday Anna wakes up and gets to do something she loves. She chose a career to love. She has found no better way to do work that is meaningful and transformative for others while simultaneously transforming, supporting and facilitating her own personal growth and transformation. The most fulfilling component is helping people to be the best they can be, individually and within their family system while reducing distress and discomfort. Providing and offering compassion, inspiring hope and teaching patients the necessary skills required to overcome their current circumstances. Her approach stems from an understanding that seeking medical and mental attention can be an intimidating and overwhelming experience, and for this reason, a trustful therapist to patient relationship is needed for delivery of compassionate care.

She has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in trauma resolution techniques, including EMDR, Brainspotting Psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems. She has studied meditation since 1981, and incorporates different mindfulness and energy psychology approaches in her sessions to broaden possibilities for growth.

I am Michelle and have been working in the addiction field since 2007. I received my undergraduate education at Gateway Technical College and Upper Iowa University, after which I attended Springfield College where I received my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling with a specialty in Addiction Studies and a second Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Over the past 9 years, I have worked with individuals who are opioid dependent at a medication assisted treatment program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I provide an open trusting judgement free therapeutic environment to help clients feel welcome, comfortable, and understood so they can begin their recovery journey in an environment that feels safe. My therapeutic approach is dependent on the client and their needs. Typically, I find a combination of Reality therapy with motivational therapy and CBT is effective with most clients; however, adjust my approach as needed. There is no one approach that works for all clients. My overall philosophy is to create an environment in which each and every client feels free to be themselves. I enjoy every day that I have the opportunity to help someone change their life for the better.
