Ketamine Treatment
Who is ketamine treatment benefical for?
Ketamine treatment can be beneficial for those who experience treatment resistant depression. This would be someone who has tried numerous medications, talk therapy, or other treatments, but are still struggling to feel better.
How does this treatment work?
It works by affecting neurotransmitters in the brain, and increases the connections in the brain that are low in people with depression.
West Grove Clinic highly recommends that during the treatment you continue to work with your mental health team (prescriber and/or therapist).
What benefits could I experience?
- Rapid relief from depressive symptoms
- Reduction in anxiety and PTSD symptoms
- Pain relief for chronic conditions
- Enhanced overall well-being and mental clarity
What should I expect with this treatment?
At West Grove Clinic you would expect to be on site for 2 hours. During that time you will be in a comfortable space. We offer headphones, eye mask, dimmed lighting, and comfortable recliner during your treatment. You are welcome to bring comfort items from home such as a pillow, blanket, headphones and your own music. During these 2 hours you are monitored by your provider.
Each person’s experience during treatment is unique. If you choose to explore this treatment option, talk to your provider about potential things you might experience during the treatment.
